The magazine is the association organ of the AGSH - Archaeological Society of Schleswig-Holstein eV and contains not only essays by the members of the association but also essays by scientists and researchers. The archaeological department of Schleswig-Holstein under its director, Prof. Dr. Claus von Carnap Bornheim, is responsible for the development and publication. The AGSH, headquartered in Schleswig, is the largest association with archaeological orientation, with more than 400 members nationwide. The aim of the society is to bring home friends and citizens who are interested in Schleswig-Holstein's archeology and to raise awareness and deepen the awareness of the country's oldest history, tradition and culture.
