Gold bracket from 5th to 6th. many years have many aspects. In his dissertation, which is the result of over 30 years of research, Morten Axboe summarizes his studies of the stylistic development of the A-C books. The D and F brackets are placed in relation to this chronology and the occurrence of inscriptions on the brackets is discussed. The absolute dates of the betting sites are investigated by comparison with the other style chronology, coincided findings and daterable graves. The motives of the Brake Theater are based on Roman coin pictures, which the Norwegians have taken over and interpreted, and they are important testimonies for the religious and social conditions of the period. Important subjects are the actual production of the braces, local differences in motifs and technical details, the relationship with the medallion imitations of the younger Roman Iron Age, the function of the brackets as jewelry, amulets, sacrifices and grave coins, and finally the blurred sun in the year 536 that might mean the end of the goldenest period in ancient times. The book is 195 pages and richly illustrated in black and white and colors. English summary and captions.
